Our Battery Street office is built around the realities of a downtown patient base. The majority of our Financial District patients are adults: founders, attorneys, finance professionals, consultants, and engineers from firms across the Embarcadero Center, Sansome Street, Montgomery, and the broader downtown core. We also see teen patients whose families work in the city. Every orthodontist on our team completed two to three additional years of full-time residency after dental school and practices only orthodontics. That focus is exactly what adult cases require, because adult orthodontic treatment often intersects with restorative dentistry, periodontal health, and TMJ considerations.
We treat the full range of cases: crowding, spacing, deep bite, crossbite, open bite, midline correction, surgical orthodontic coordination, and post-orthodontic relapse. He served on the UCSF faculty and is the founding president of the Northern California Asian Dental Association. The Transamerica Pyramid, Redwood Park, the Embarcadero Center, and the Ferry Building Marketplace are all within walking distance. Patients commute in via Embarcadero BART and Muni, the Sansome Street corridor, the Ferry terminal, and the Golden Gate ferries from Marin. We see patients from Chinatown, North Beach, Union Square, South Beach, SoMa, and East Bay BART lines. Many of our patients work at firms inside the Levi Strauss campus, Salesforce Tower, and the financial corridor that runs from Market to Pacific.
What to Expect
Your first visit is a complimentary orthodontic consultation. We complete a full bite exam, take photos and digital scans, and present every viable treatment option in plain language. For adults, that means a side-by-side comparison of Invisalign, ceramic braces, and metal braces with realistic timelines and investment. We coordinate with your general dentist, periodontist, or restorative team when a case requires it. Treatment visits run every 6 to 10 weeks and are designed to fit a workday. Every case ends with custom retainers and a long-term retention plan.
